This building is being renovated from top to bottom by Timbercreek Communities. It is part of a double renovation with another property just long 15th called Centennial House. The interior design of both properties will be the same, but obviously, layouts will differ between the two properties.
There is a showhome currently in Premier Place for the one-bedroom suite which is 700 sq ft. The 1,000 sq ft two-bedroom showhomes are yet to be completed (as of mid-October 2018). The fit and finish of these apartments are very high-end with modern kitchen and bathroom cabinetry with darker colours on the bottom units and lighter on the top. There is a large kitchen island and all countertops are quartz. Appliances are stainless steel and there is also a combined washer/dryer in the kitchen which is hidden behind the cabinetry. The bathrooms have modern cabinets and integrated sinks. The flooring is all vinyl plank.
Currently, there are no amenities in the building, but once renovations are complete there will be a gym and a games/party room. Parking is available in the above ground lot.

I’ll start off by listing the positive things because there is far less then the negetive things about Timbercreek communitys. Premier place
*Dan – building manager
* Robert – sales
Both are top notch individuals who take good care of the residents but unfortunately timber Creek doesn’t share the same morals and principles.
For example.
Over 10 vehicles were broken into within a month. While the garage door was broken for about two weeks they eventually got security for a short period of time only after about vehicle 12 had windows smashed out.
Junkies and homeless let themselfs into the buildings still no security onsite for weekends or evenings. Dan is physically unable to watch the property 24hrs a day I wonder if it will take someone being robbed or stabbed for this business to take matters serious.
Let’s talk “renovations”……lol
Horrible workmanship and it wasn’t just my unit.
I had shelves fall.
Paint bubbling in bathroom.
Floor lifted.
Countertops cracking.
None of the cupboards were level.
They painted over old fixtures and doors so all of that pealed off over time.
Horrible gargling noises out of the drains due to it being a older building and all the plumbing drains on one stack.
The building didn’t have heat for the coldest week of the year and we had ” emergency water shut offs every other week it seemed.
Not having professionals manage your renovations show the main objective and that’s ” do it cheap do it fast. It’s all about making the most money on the least amount of dollars. My unit was not the only one with similar issues.
And after all this I was shocked when they wanted to increase the rent.
But hey if you have animals
Have low standards
And like to live life on the edge and possibly get stabbed by a junkie in the dark parkade at 2am this is the place for you.

I received a lease renewal option under my door and the rent has increased SIGNIFICANTLY (hundreds of dollars). I had asked to negotiate but it was a no go. For a building that continues to have difficulty with the elevators and water issues, etc. this building simply is not worth the added expense. The parking, which I believe was $35.00/ month is increasing to $150.00/ month and heat and water will no longer be included with the rent. Goodness. If I am going to pay such a huge amount of rent I may as well be closer to work, have working elevators, have my heat and water included with the rent, have no water issues, a place to park that is less than $150/month, etc. On the plus side, Robert and Dan were always available and approachable.

If you work from home or enjoy spending time in your quiet apartment, think again. Since they’ve let pets in this building, you can hear dogs barking all day on every floor. I’ve talked to the manager about this, but he is a dog owner and just gives spin on how the building is ‘progressive’.

These people are scam artists and thief’s. I applied to rent an apartment, gave my deposit. Robert said everything was perfect and we had a very high chance of being approved. He contacted me an hour later saying I was not approved. He then refused to tell me why, gave me a number to call to inquire about why and no one answers I’ve called 4 or 5 times. Left messages and nothing. He also said my deposit would be return within 10 business days but in the application documents it clearly states in the event of the application being declined the deposit would be returned within 48 hours. It’s been 4 days and no one has retuned my calls or emails. I highly recommend you go else where because it’s 4 days before the end of the month and these thief’s will not return my money and I’m screwed to find a new place
