This building is located close to downtown within the Beltline area. It is located close to the CN rail tracks, so noise from the trains may be a concern. It is also close to the Calgary Tower which can occasionally be noisy with music and bell noise. The building is over 40 years old but is being renovated inside.
The suites come with either one or two bedrooms and most have upgraded kitchens with modern cabinets, stainless appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen areas are small but open to the living/dining room making them feel slightly larger. Some kitchens have lighter cream units with cream quarts countertop and others have dark cabinets with beige quartz countertop. The suites do have an in-wall air conditioner. Balconies are a solid wall and restrict views. One thing worth noting is the “popcorn” ceiling finish is also found on all the walls. This is usually a fire-retardant finish but it is very unusual to find this on the walls too.
The corridors leading to the units is very grubby with stained walls and carpet and is not very appealing at all. It may be these are also going to be renovated. We also became aware that as of September 2018 there had been flooding issues and water damage to a number of lower floor units.
The amenities are quite good with a large gym, games room, media room, basketball court, patio area (no BBQ’s) and rooftop lounge. Amenities are shared with its sister building Lofts on First.

The sewer backs up into my kitchen sink and Desmond the manager has told me so many times they are working on it. I found out from the plumber they will not order the part he needs to fix it. this problem has gone on for 2 years.

Please be very careful with Timbercreek, paying the deposit is mandatory when you apply, but if you don´t sign the lease you lose the deposit.

took 5 months to get my damage deposit back. didn’t get it back because i didn’t clean behind the stove, and the carpet was tugged up a little from everyday wear & tear. when i moved in, they told me normal wear & tear is fine and not taken from deposit. then was told they were lucky they didn’t charge me $3000 to replace the carpet when i asked for the deposit back… what?!?! when i applied, they lost my application. had to call twice to get my application back up and running. had to call them 5 or 6 times to try to get my deposit back (before finding out i was unable). they would always tell me they would call me back but never did. elevators were always broken or just made no sense with their floor stops. lived here for a year.

The biggest issue here are the staff. They just don’t seem to care. I had no heating for several days during last winter and there was no rush to sort out the problem which I found out wasn’t just my suite, but several.
There was a flooding issue in the summer which affected my friend on the second floor and again, no rush to get it sorted. The fire alarms seem to have a mind of their own too.
Train noise is another issue and the annoying bells and music from the tower. It’s a shame because the renovations they are doing are really nice, but not enough to make me renew.

I have lived here for 3 years, I will leave in March when my lease ends. Constant hot water issues and heating not working. My friend had bed bugs too. Not a good place anymore.
